Cornelius Louis Wilde (October 13, 1915 in New York City, USA – October 16, 1989 in Los Angeles, USA) was an American actor and film director. Cornel Wilde's birth name was Kornel Weisz, and his parents were Hungarian Jews. His father, a traveling salesman, took his son on trips throughout Europe, which encouraged Wilde's talent for languages ​​(he spoke Hungarian, French, German, English, Italian, and Russian).
